Jammu to Vaishno Devi Helicopter Service Launching June 2025

To facilitate time-bound pilgrims, the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board (SMVDSB) is set to launch a new Jammu to Sanjhi Chhat helicopter service, expected to begin in the first half of June 2025. The service will land yatris at the Panchhi Helipad, just 2.5 km from Bhawan, providing easy access for darshan.

Helicopter Package Options for Devotees

Two special booking packages have been introduced:

• Same Day Return (SDR) – ₹35,000


• Next Day Return (NDR) – ₹50,000

Yatris selecting SDR will receive:

• Helicopter ride from Jammu to Panchhi


• Battery car up to Bhawan


• Priority darshan slip and prasad


• Ropeway ticket for Bhairon Temple


• Return by helicopter the same day

Those selecting NDR will also get:

• Overnight room stay at Bhawan


• Atka Aarti participation with reserved slot

Safety Cleared and Arrangements Underway

The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has approved helicopter flights between Jammu and Bhawan. Meanwhile, the Shrine Board is preparing for a smooth and organized yatra experience for devotees.

Note: The regular helicopter price from Katra to Sanjichhat remains at ₹2,100 per person (one-way).
